Maritime Wireless Network

Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc.’s Maritime Wireless Network System project successfully installed a major drilled shaft foundation and monopole infrastructure for the island of Molokai within an extremely tight schedule of less than 4 months. The project was unique in that it required a large 6 feet diameter by 70 feet deep drilled shaft foundation and monopole to be installed at the remote outer island of Molokai’s Kaunakakai Harbor. This was an extremely critical project for the State of Hawaii, Department of Civil Defense since the project provided a badly needed emergency communication wireless network system to connect all of the islands, including Molokai, in times of disaster.
